i had a main relay problem for a long time, i attempted to re-solder the joints the car started but once i turned it off and try to re start it, the main relay just clicks every time i turn the key. I purchased a new one and its still oing the same thing!

 

 

any idea's? this is the only car i have so i really need it!! please help

 

Are you getting power to the igniton module. Check all the connection points with a test light. One should be constant 12 v, one should should have power when acc is one, so a this point two wires should have power. Next turn the key to on pos, 3 wires should have power, then to start 4 or 5 should have power if there is 5.

 

Are you getting anypower to the gauge cluster? Check every fuse on the car

 

check your grounds, that seriusly messed me up before. changed the relay, still wasnt it.. i had done a swap in my car and forgot to hook up the ground by the thermostat.. if that ---- isnt tight, sometimes it will get a good connection and fire up and run okay.. and other times its like blah, i dont wanna. ---- this ----...
