Default Wires coming from "V-tec" solinoid

THere are two harnesses that come out of my vtec solinoid on my newly installed D16Z6 motor in my 89' civic H/B. I know one is the vtec " on/off" wire, but what is the other harness ? It had two wires coming out of it. WHat do i do with they ? I'm using a APEXI V-Afc to control it.

Sure was a fun swap, but now I'm sunburnt, back broken, and didn't goto sleep at all Thursday night...

Thanx for the help.

98K mile D16Z6 for $400 with ECU and new clutch a good deal ?

seems like a good deal to me, i had to pay $650 for a whole motor (minus distro/alt) just so I could get the head from a damn honda recycler

well if you have a D16z6 in a crx i assume you didnt change your wiring from obd0 to obd1 so yah just leave it just hook up the single vtec wire to the on off whatever you have controlling it. and if you are ghetto and hook it up to a switch DO NOT kick it in under 2600 i screwed up my old motor like that. if you want a lil more power i learned if you dont use the pressure sensor you can run a oil line to it and when vtec kicks in it seems to run a lil harder. i dont know if im right or not but im just telling personal experience. dont take my word for it research a lil more first because when i did it i couldnt find anyone that did it. good luck with your new motor

Rule of thumb is do not turn on VTEC below 4000 RPM or it will really ---- ---- up. i have found that 4800 works well but 5500 is the stock kick in point.

I really wasn't concerned with "when to engage it", just more what the other plug with two wires was suposed to goto, but I can't get the damn thing to start anyway..
