Not a drop in swap. The tranny is to your current mount. SLightly shorter gears. Realy it's not worth the hassle. The a1 has 10 more HP the the a6 which you probably already have and are easier to find and work with.

A d16a1 uses a different configuration bolt pattern on the bell housing. So a normal D-series trans (d16a6/z6/y8 etc) will not bolt up to it.

Swap bell housings and time to brake out the tools. 43 horsepower? The b2 is rated at 92hp and 89ft/lbs tq. While the D16a1 is rated at (86-87 113hp)(88-89 118hp) All that hassle to get a whopping 26hp at the most for all that fabbing up mounts and ----. Instead just find a JDM dohc zc since they have come down in price alot since there pretty old engines now for a obd0 engine. If your car was older then 88 then go for the a1 but 88-91 civic/crx go with a jdm dohc ZC. Nuff said. No ifs ands or buttholes.
