Why shouldnt I use a pr3 or pw0 ecu on my lsvtec project?

Anyone know why, jeff hinted that this was not a good idea in one of my posts the other day. If not the pr3 then what?

I don't know what car its going in, but the pr3 and pw0 ecus are non obd. So you would have to rewire the car if its not an 4gen civic, or older teg

If you are putting a LS vtec in any Non-OBD car, your best bet is going to be using a PR3 or PW0, since its the only DOHC B-series vtec ecu for non-obd cars. What I said was, you will need to get some type of fuel controller, apexi/afc and crank the fuel maps up to give the engine a bit more fuel, since these ecus are for B16's. Example, I am using a PW0 program for my base ls/vtec on my car, but then changed the timing up about 4 degrees and the fuel is up about 12% throughout the entire rpm range and it seems to work pretty well.

yea, its a 91 crx Si. ok that makes sense about upping the fuel with a vafc.
