You need to go MPFI, or get another ECU, a DX ECU.

That was probably it. Get the ecu or switch the fuel injection. Do one (or both) and see what happens.

if you have some mechanical skills and feel comfortable swapping an intake manifold and dizzy I would do a mpfi swap, you'd get better performance that way.

For the price some people want for an ECU even a dx ECU you might as well complete the MPFI swap, that is if you feel confortable with it. Check to see what Distributor you are running also. Is it an Si or Dx?

If it is a Dx, or one for the DPFI system, all you need is the PM5 and should work.

But if the person was trying to do the swap and also swapped in the Si/Hf MPFI distributor, just changing the ECU will not work. You also have to check the wiring, if they infact changed the wires already for the MPFI swap, then they would need to be changed back to work with the DPFI system.

It might sound complicated, but it's not that hard really.
