Hell a buddy of mine needed a motor to toss in his hatch for a few weeks and i had a motor where the crank was worse than this. It was rounded off really bad. We checked the timing on that bitch and welded the crank pulley on and called it a day . The damn thing is setting back in my garage now and ran good when it was pulled back out of his car.

Your pics are ----.
If the groove is too rounded just open it up a little so that it is square again, and do the matching procedure on the pulley. Then just make a new key out of some scrap.

Or go to a Home Depot...the one by me now stocks woodruff keys. My friend's b17 was rounded off as well. I just set the key in there and torqued the pulley bolt down hard to make sure it didn't move. Only thing it'll really mess up is your timing marks.
