what "stage" clutch do you run??
looking to replace the clutch and flywheel in the Z6 before i dump it in, just wondering what stage everyone is using for a clutch
assuming the "stage" is pretty universal
Stage 1 is basically a better than stock stock replacement
Stage 2 is a 4 puck kevlar sprung disc
Stage 3 is a 6 puck ceramic button sprung disc
Stage 4 is a 6 puck sintered metal unsprung disc
the clutch will be going with a 7 pound aluminum flywheel with a replacable insert

Re: what "stage" clutch do you run??
talking stage makes you gay, now you have to bang stealthmode.
ive got two.
act hdss (heavy duty plate, street disc), holds the low 200hp range well.
new one going in soon is an ACT Xtreme 4 puck unspring (xtreme pressure plate, 4 puck solid hub disc)
pick yourself up an 88 turbo crx 6puck clutch

Re: what "stage" clutch do you run??
i run a stage 1,000,000 aka 6 puck unsprung, once you put a couple hundred miles on it and get rid of the chatter, it's not bad at all on the street, the first 100-200 miles are a bitch though.
