Re:what is this??pic

what hides in that little box is your MAP sensor, and ourge vavle soliniods...

as for connecting them, i dont know. all i have hookes up is the MAP...

HMT-Admin 02-15-2003 06:08 PM

Re:what is this??pic

Yup, that box just covers a few sensors, only 1 of the vacuum lines is important.. and that would be the map sensor signal line.

Re:what is this??pic

so i only hook up one hose form the b18 to the box?

1 line from the box.. the others were cut off.

the map sensor reads vacuum and delivers the signal to the ecu. It's one of the sensors that the ecu looks for when deciding how much fuel to deliver.

yo Jeff do you got any more pics of that car..i just drop my motor today and it was a bitchhttps://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...ipsrsealed.gif my bay doesnt look close to that..

could i also use my stock HF injectors on the b18 cause its a 96 ls and im running obd0???

turbohf 02-17-2003 03:52 PM

Re:what is this??pic

that is a ZC not an LS in that pic. and yes you can use the HF injectors...

HMT-Admin 02-17-2003 05:05 PM

Re:what is this??pic

The HF injectors flow less than 240cc... I wouldnt use them

Re:what is this??pic

96 LS motor...definatly not odb0...its odb2...your gonna have to bring the motor from odb2 down to odb1 and bring the ecu from odb0 to odb1 to actually make them work....wiring harnesses my good friend....

here's some info on ur motor

Re:what is this??pic

thanks for all the info rexBUG..but i converted my harness to obd2 by getting the ls harness and cutting of all the conectors and put it on my hf harness. the only probably is i have 3 plugs that i dont know wheres it goes.

is the redline for ls 63000? damn that sucks i thought iw as 7200..

Re:what is this??pic

no, that is when peak power is made at.

Rev limiter is whatever ECU you are running, I am pretty sure the pr4 is 7200

Re:what is this??pic

i put an 89 integ ecu in my 90 crx and the rev limiter wont kick in i reved it to 10 g's and it still didnt kick in.. :X could be good.. could be bad.. :-D

stole this pic from turboef9

ok on 92+ B/D series the coolant temp sensor has been reloacted to off the top of the lower radiator housing (thermostat housing) See the little 2 plug brown connector near the right of the number "1" Those 2 wires that are hanging on the back of your block will need to go to that sensor. The pins are also different. I just had some extra pins laying around off another sensor I used. But if you could get a newer style harness and just chop that little plug and splice them in you would be good to go. Dont worry which way the wires go.. it works either way.

Re:what is this??pic

good question, what the hell is that sensor next to the oil pressure sender? and does it matter how the wires are hooked up?

like I said.. its the "coolant temp sensor"

and "Dont worry which way the wires go.. it works either way."

run those wires to the senser on the t stat housing all that they are for is to tell the computer to turn the rad fan on.

Re:what is this??pic

dont worry about that its your EGR valve, like the HF is the only motor that has it. btw there will be an extra plug for it too when you put that harness on the B18 dont worry about that either...

5_LiTeR_EaTeR 02-23-2003 11:29 AM

Re:what is this??pic

Its not the coolant temp sensor. Its the coolant temp switch that activates the fan when coolant temp has reach operating temperature. The Hf is not the only one that has the EGR valve becuase h22s and 23's have them. The other motor won't have that and I would make sure the pinout to the ecu aren't taken by anything else cuz you will have to cut and resplice the wire to whatever it may go to.

iwouldhitit 02-23-2003 05:31 PM

Re:what is this??pic

well does a b18 have that? and if so where do i plug it in?

HMT-Admin 02-27-2003 01:46 AM

Re:what is this??pic

just let it hang, and dont worry about it..
