um look at what factory cars use during their first mileage ya there is your answer

where do people think honda uses a special oil when they start a new car its nonsense. Follow honda they did build your car I would hope they would know something

then again you can always read nonsense online from a 19 year old kid who read something in a book

I personally like Valvoline All Climate. Seems to be a nice cheap mineral based oil. Did a rebuild on a Chevy 3100 v6, broke it in with the same stuff I was gonna use in it later on. Runs like a champ 20k later. Dad has run this in his cars since the 60s, I've done the same ever since I started driving and never had a problem. He tells me a story of a block that he took to a machine shop, and all he told them was it had 300k on it. When he came to pick it up, they had bets on what oil he used because the wear shown was so minimal. I also feel that regular oil changes are more important than oil brand. Thats probably why I haven't jumped on the 5k+ oil change intervals wagon yet, and still change my filter and fluid every 3k or 3 months.

Just my .02

Mobil 1 is the ----. synthetic is almost always 99%+ as good as amsoil is. Except you can buy 5 quart jugs of m1 synthetic for sub$20 at about any walmart in the country. Royal purple is vastly overpriced for what it is, making it suck.
What you should do is start rocking the Super-tech synthetic 1 gallon = $12. Walmart Super-tech = Mobil 1 from the mexican plant.

The real question should be what viscosity you should run falling between 5w-40 and 15w-50. 5w-50 ftmf-turbo-w but its harder to find.

Oh... and don't forget to put that extra quart in the engine because I will **** in your face laughing when you go around a corner thinking your car is fast, starve the engine & roast a bearing, or blow a rod out tyour block.

Dont use synthetic to break in dumbass. its lubricating properties will prevent the rings from making the best seal possible. Look at those guys with corvettes, they come with synthetic stock. They drain it out, put in mineral oil for the first 1,000 or so miles.
