try to make starter fire manually, put a screw driver across the positive and a negative, if it cranks the engine then starter is good.

---- you all this is the first vw i ever owned and i like it all i ever had was honda acura yes there great but
whats wrong with a challenge.so all you big pimps don't know anything unless it's a jap car. cool i thought i could get some answers here guess not!

Not everyone in here has only Honda/Acura knowledge. If you had been around for a while you would know this.
Get you answers on gayass VWvortex if you don't want negative opinions about German "engineering.". Other members have been to the VW scene and promptly came back.
