how do i know if its working because i got a single can d15b jdm but don't know if works i have a p08 ecu

if it doesnt throw a check light than its probably working. the vtec on single's arent as dramatic as the dohc vtec motors

What you can do is go to radio shack and get an led. Hook it up in line with vtec wires and put it in you gauge cluster with a little vtec sticker on it and when you hit vtec it should come on and say vtec. Thats the cool way. Or just use the butt dyno. Thats what I use on my z6. I can feel it. But you have a d15 do I don't know about yours. ;)

butt dyno? u mean a dyno run to see it howmany horses do i have and then that will say if my v-teck is kiking or not ???

hahaha lol it's not vteck , but vtec....and a butdyno is... you sitting in the car beating the ---- out of it and trying to notice if when you reached the rpm where vtec activates you get a kick in your but :P

to hear it take off ur air intake tubing and rev high (while driving) until u hear what sounds like ur valves hitting ur pistons and its sorta echowy. its basically the sound of overlap which tells u the vtec is working

or just look at ur rpm guage, u can see it go up a bit faster

Drive around for a good hours on a hot ass day, Turn the ac all the way on, THen hit it, if your car is like my car on a hot ass day, it sucks ass until the vtec kicks in, it will kinda bogg until you hit it

that's not the point, i could have just bought an old ef or eg and dropped a b16 in it and had the same affect. i just wanted a new car. i actually got a good ass deal on the car though. i paid 11k for it with only 54k miles, and it already had kyb agx's, aluminum lca's, tie bars, etc.

n/a vs. turbo, hrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm......
let's not get in to this again, but if you have the same mods on a b series that you have on a d series, b series wins, bottom line. that's like saying "i beat gsr's all day long with my d series" forgetting to mention that you have a turbo and he's stock. ::)

the y8 I threw into my 88 hb was no slouch. with a stock exhaust manifold, and craptacular exhaust piping, I could hear AND feel the vtec kicking in. that car was out of control. I would drive it around aimlessly just to floor it in second and hear vtec and laugh maniacally to myself.

but yeah, do what whatchamacall it said, and use the LED, but I don't know if you can put it inline, sounds kinda fishy. I'd put it parallel with a resistor.. but that's me.

15.6 stock 1/4 mile time is hardly slow for a n/a four banger. i hang with my boys vr6 all day. not to mention, they're only like 3 hundred pounds more than a rex.

take your muffler and intake off, you will hear it then. with no muffler on my b16 it's like mmmmmmmmmmmmmmBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA wow, there it is.

See, the F22 has something B series owners will never have (unless its pushing 20psi of boost).. Torque. And theres a WHOLE lot of power locked in the ecu on those motors too, esp the B1. Those cars are tuned for ULEV and LEV emissions standards.

I was an accord enthusiast for 7-8 years, I have a bit of exp and love for the F22

Trust me, wait until this summer when I post some dynos of my F22B1, its on its way to be sleeved as we speak :)

my friend had an f22 in his prelude, he raced me, I lost (when I had the d15b2. when I got my b16 the game was over, defeat for prelude. then he got his h22 and now the game is over for me. I have raced 3 preludes with h22 and all 3 have destroyed me.

i've never race my car, but that is what is listed as the stock time, so taking in to consideration i/h/e, stiff suspension and me driving, j'm sure i could pull off a very high 14 or a very low 15. and i have a back seat and a/c ;D
