Default VTEC Problems

Ok i posted awhile back about my VTEC NOT working, and its still not working. My setup is a d16z6 bottom end with a d16y8 head.
Bottom End bored .010
Eagle Rods
SRP pistons (10.5:1 compression)

Head milled .010
ZEX valve springs
TI retainers
ZEX stage 2 cam.

I stayed obd0 so i have a RPM switch hooked up to the solenoid. I DID buy a obd1 conversion harness and WAS using a P28 ECU, but this didnt fix my VTEC problem so i sold all of this (I was hard up for $$). Now im back to using the RPM switch with a PM6 ECU. The solenoid is good (I hear it clicking when i jump the power wire and solenoid wire off together). Oil pressure is GREAT! (75PSI @Idle!!) Rocker Arm assembly is good. Cam is good. What else could be wrong?! Are the oil jets different on the d16z6 and d16y8? Am i suppose to do something with this? I need help bad on this guys! The car runs fine right now, just NO VTEC. And i know VTEC is not working because i would jumper off the power/solenoid wire at 6,000RPM and no difference in power at all. OR i would leave the solenoid on and turn it off at 6,000RPM and no difference. All help is appreciated! Oh and no codes at all. Something mechanically is wrong! Wiring is correct also. Please help me out guys!! THANKS!!!!

Have you checked to make sure that the little studs that move in and out of the rocker arms and lock into the vtec lobe arm are still intact or not clogged up? Also one other thing to check...have you ever taken the vtec oil assebly off the back of the head? there's a little screen attached to the gasket inside the assembly that can get clogged up over time, so you might want to check that too.

usually the rpm switch has to have a relay hooked up to switch voltage to a non 12V status....

if you hooked up the toogle switch and it still didnt work. something has got to be wrong with your motor. or your wiring skills suck
