Vtec controller shift light how to

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
I explained it to you again and you still didnt get it .Your asking about a signal wire, well for the 3rd time, that shift light has no signal wire(to controll the vtec). It has a power in,rmp signal in, and a ground in.No wires out.IT WONT WORK!! It doesn't have a wire to acctivate the vtec. Now you get it?Is that simple enough for ya?

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
ok i have a tach also is there anyway to wire that to my tach and maybe splice a wire or run a relay or something to make it work?how would you regualrly hook it up with a shift light anyways? with a adj.timing one like that?

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
Ok since you asked nicely I will tell you how you can make that light work. The light is exactly what I was thinking about.
You have to modify it to make it work.Hook it up as that diagram shows. The light works off of 12 volts just like the vtec solenoid. So pull the light apart.Tap into the wires that go to the light(positive and negative).Rmove the light buld. Now take the positive and negative wires that would normally go to the light to the vtec solenoid.THATS IT.
You see now instead of the light getting 12 volts the vtec solenoid will get 12 volts and come on as if it were the light.Thats the only way you can make it work with that ligh and withought a tach.

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
Why cant i just splice into the positive wire on the Vtec selenoid with my signal wire from the shift light?that should wor shouldnt it?and if i need i can use the ground wire as the neg.wire on the vtec selenoid correct?

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
ok i gotcha now the grren wire was just a wire that takes the info from the dist to set the light off at a certain RPM thats where i got the signal for my tach was from the -post on the distributor coil.ok no prob i gotcha now

Re:Vtec controller shift light how to
i have the same kinda shif light and ive done it just cut the shift light wire to the bulb and wire it to the solenoid it works but the light doesnt no more oh and the other end of the bulbs needs to be grounded
