Default valve cover gasket...

If I remove a bolt from my valve cover, just one bolt/nut as to move the grund wire from the rear driver side nut to the front driver side nut (where it SHOULD be) will I have to get a new gasket or anything like that?

Or is it a loosen, remove, tighten afair??

thanks.

If you have any questions of what im talking about check out page 5 on my website andlook for the short blue loom on the driver side of the valve cover.

Its easier than you think. I don't even have my grounding strip anymore, just loosen it and get it out of the way. Then, loosen all of the other long bolts and take them out.

With the cover still in place lift it off, you will see the gasket is semi-flushed into the lip of the cover. It probably will be as shitty as mine but it should be fine for you. Make sure when you put the cover back on you don't tighten your bolts too much cause you don't wanna crack your valve cover.

Its not hard at all bro. Have fun, are you polishing or powdering? I tried to manually polish with fine sand paper, didnt work so well.

ya same here i taken the whole valve cover off about 3 times and reused the gasket and its fine.. i usually hit it with some wd40 to make it slide in to the groove easier.

No I dont need to take it off completely.. just two nuts to move the dammn ground wire to the proper location. I have the worst funkiest idle ever.. sometimes PERFECT 900rpm other times drops to like 300rpm. I hit the gas and its back to 900rpm next time i stop, 300 again. I also find that when I am at a stop light and take myy foot off the brake my idle goes up a few hundred rpm as well. I think its a vac leak somewhere.
