Re: type R rods in ls block?
Then it will work fine. You can find a crank easily on Honda Tech for just over $100 shipped. You might just want to keep the ls crank and buy ls rods instead though. With the ls crank youll have 1834cc of displacement and with the gsr or the type r you will only have 1797cc(i think those are the numbers). It doesnt sound like much difference but there is a decent ammount more torque with the ls crank. If your going to be revving really high just make sure to have the ls crank balanced.

Re: type R rods in ls block?
the type R piston will fit a LS block.
i know i did it.
and for rods all b series rods are interchangeable. its u got to mach the baring size up
i have put GSR rods on a LS crank
what u have to watch for is the clearance the part where the piston meets the head. the longer the rod the more compression.
rod lengh i am not to shour about i know SI rods are the smallest in lengh.

all b series rod arent interchangable. LS and B16a rods have a fatter piston end then GSR and TYPE R.
the crank ends are the same though. you can machine the LS or B16 rods to accomodate the GSR and Type R pistons.
simple rule, crank and rods need to be from the same engine
