Default Twin-Turbo + Supercharged Eclipse?

some kid told me that he used to have a Twin-Turbo, Supercharged eclipse that ran 9 sec until he blew the motor. Is he a joke or is that accually possible?

its possible but would be an incredible waste of money, if he's only getting 9 seconds.

haha..number one Twin turboing 4 banger is just stupid.. and why would he have a supercharger also?thats just retared..i dont think a 4cyl motor could even ingest that much compressed air..oh yeah if he ran 9's his car would have to have had a full cage and full racecar probably with a parachute ..ask him to see his racing licence..there is not ------- way you can run a 9 sec. car without a racing licence.

Well it could have been a 6 cylinder eclipse? or possibly a motor swap?
Sounds more like bullshit yes, but it is possible.
Alot of older drag cars were single turbo'd and supercharged.
The supercharger allowed for no lag in boost, and improved CFM during the higher rev band. There was also an MR2 designed with a 'clutch' deal which would disengage the supercharger when the turbo kicked on.

Its very doable, but very very very expensive to actually get done and have it working right.

I'd call his bluff and ask him what his CFM was and see what his answer is, you could also get a little more technical and start hitting up for compression ratios before and after boosting (If he actually monitored it), what his transmission gear ratios were, if he had an LSD or if he even knows what one is...
