just split the case and look at the reverse idler shaft vs a manual make sure it has all its parts

buddy of mine had this problem with third gear ended up being the guy he got the car off of put like 75-90 gear oil in it quick change and it worked great

yup idk how many transes i have seen with gear lube in them i am like wtf dude 10-30 ftw

i run only honda trans fluid in mine. but i dont know what the hell in a trans im looking for but everything seems to be there when i had it apart last time

get a 90-93 integra manual and look under manual transaxle

Well the guy I bought the trans from said it was good the person who sone the quaife said it looked fine but it wasn't really a trans shop
