main input shaft bearing most likely, get it fixed. a lot of people say nothing bad will happen but i had one go on me after my tranny whined for a few hundred miles. RIP cable si tranny the bearing went and all the chunks of it got ground up by other ---- and a lot of it got fucked up.

check your fluid too if you notice any noise while driving.

it's not the throw out bearing, if it was, it would be making the noise when he disengages (pedal down) the clutch, because the bearing would be loaded on the pressure plate forks. When the clutch is engaged, then throwout bearing shouldn't be contacting the pressure plate unless you're riding the clutch

Can you hear it when you're driving or only when stopped and in neutral? My y8 tranny was kinda noise, especially in neutral, but it still works.

Not quite. The release bearing will always be in contact with the pressure plate fingers, but the pressure on that bearing is obviously much greater when the clutch is disengaged.

wtf is bone talking about? And the if the bearing does contact the fingers it shouldn't make enough noise to be heard loudly because it's unloaded, or at least i wouldn't expect it to. Basically i'd assume it to be noiser when the clutch is engaged.

Input Shaft Bearing For The Win!!!!!!!!!

They fail first when the fluid runs low.

I've never seen a Honda with a bad throwout bearing or pilot bearing.

Most people RUIN throwout bearings by spraying them out with something like carb cleaner.
