i' started the turbo install last week. and i'm taking off the tranny to replace the throw-out/release bearing cause i'm getting annoyed with the sound.
i was wondering if there is any maintenence i should do while i have the tranny off, besides flywheel and clutch?

only thing you can do to a tranny without cracking it open is change ye old oil

 

i was gonna check the flywheel, but i just realized that i don't know where my clutch alignment(sp?) tool is. so i don't quite know about that. with that bearing thou, do i need to grease it? someone told me that, but i don't think i did when i first put it in. i thought it was sealed.?

 

well i got it running, with the new bearing. noise is still there?? anyone know waht it is??
i was thinking input shaft? it makes it when i release the clutch pedal, and when driving in gear. i ------ hate it.

 

Did you replace the pilot bearing inside the flywheel?
