Tranny Q's MISTA BONE? ANYONE?
 

i' started the turbo install last week. and i'm taking off the tranny to replace the throw-out/release bearing cause i'm getting annoyed with the sound.
i was wondering if there is any maintenence i should do while i have the tranny off, besides flywheel and clutch?

umm, check the input shaft bearing for play i guess? and take a look at your rear main seal

only thing you can do to a tranny without cracking it open is change ye old oil

i was gonna check the flywheel, but i just realized that i don't know where my clutch alignment(sp?) tool is. so i don't quite know about that. with that bearing thou, do i need to grease it? someone told me that, but i don't think i did when i first put it in. i thought it was sealed.? :-\

put grease on the input shaft/on the TO bearing where it rides on the shaft

well i got it running, with the new bearing. noise is still there?? anyone know waht it is??
i was thinking input shaft? it makes it when i release the clutch pedal, and when driving in gear. i ------ hate it.

Did you replace the pilot bearing inside the flywheel?

in gear, clutch pedal released, the pilot bearing isn't moving since the motor is coupled to the input shaft.

Pilot bearing not moving, cannot make noise.

I replaced the throw out with a know working one.(stock one)
bone, you know where i can find a ISB?? a link would be awsome.
i've only been able to find total rebuild kits. thanks.
btw is the s20 i believe from a 95ex

Honda dealer is the best place to buy tranny parts, only parts I'll use.
