Default today is a sad day, im throwing in the towel...hotrex, ur an -------

i been in this scene for 3 years.....i have spent countless amount of money...heres a quick recap.
one eg, and this is what been in it so far......3 blown b18b1 blocks, 4 bad heads. 3 bad starters, 4-5 fucked up alternators, 2 different custom turbo kits, and 2 blown headgasket. And. I still haven't made it to 12's yet, matter of fact i haven't even been to the track yet. My car has dynoed 200hp and 150tq @ 6000rpm, because da fuel pump stop supporting after 6k.

now as of july 10, 2005. the car wont start. Im sure it has battery, because all the lights etc works, plus i even tried jump starting it, and it still didn't turn on. Tomorrow, i am goin to try changing out the starter, and putting in a new battery, and if it still doesn't work. IMMA SAY ---- IT. The shop told me that i have some kind of electrical problem in my car which keeps draining my battery..and i am growin sick and tired of this ----. I am in college now . I dont think i have time for this anymore.

My temperature gauge is fucked up, the needle keeps jumping up and down. I doubt it is the temperature gauge that is draining my power...so even if i change out the cluster, i will still probably have the draining power problem.

Here are the possible problems (not in any particular order):
1. starter
2. amp (draining power)
3. a wire went bad behind the cluster
4. a ground wire
5. alternators

ahhhhh, im sure these problems are very easy to fix, but this is really time/money consuming to go through each and everyone of these to find the problem.

what should i do?

take apart the car and sell it and buy a LEXUS GS 400, or attempt to fix it? and where should this be in? general post or hybrid/tech?

t3/t4 garrett .57 trim
turbosmart wastegate
log manifold
hks ssq bov
450 dsm injectors
s200b hondata ecu
gsr tranny
b18b1 engine

should i quit or what?

like dude said, the bug will come back and get you.

it might be a good idea to just take a "break" from it all. working on vehicles for a long period of time is very tiring, you see the same stuff over and over again, and when one problem is fixed....another comes.

take a break from it, and keep it as a project....youll gain interest one day.

oh and dont sell anything....later on, youll want it back

I dont know who is doing your work but you shouldnt be going through motors like that. It gets overwhelming when you keep braking ----, the sport is a life choose when you stick to it so either be patient and learn from mistakes or it may not be right for you. GEt the car running right the temp gauge issue is a ground problem most likely thermostat ground then make your descion. I even have my days when I wished I would of just left it years ago I did my first zc swap when I was 17 Im 24 now and have gone through alot but I stuck threw it but I dont have a nice crusing car just a bunch of early 90 hondas but its my style.

i just smogged the car...and regsiter it from non operating vehicle status....if i take a break then that means i am giving away money....

but if i sell it, i can still transfer the smog to someone else, and make them pay me for the smog fee and etc. Im goin back to college in 2 months, that means i wont be able to mess around with my hatchback for another 9 months. Do you think this is really worth it?

how much is a complete b18b1/gsr tranny goin for?

well i listed it on craigslist for 5,300...and ig ot two offers.
but i listeed it as workin condition..so i guess either way i gotta fix it....so imma fix it then see if i wanna keep it or not.

Justfix it and drive. You will have plenty of time to mess with it during college, unless you are a complete slacker and play video games 24/7. I'm in college but I still have time to work on my car every other day. Also, if I were you I would start saving up for a daily driver as a backup.
