Tire Tech
I can't believe I don't know this already, but how do you read tire sizes? I know some of them, but some others don't make sense and I'm trying to size a set of drag radials for rims I just got.
My original tires were P185/65R14
My current tires are P205/50ZR15
I just picked up 2 rims that measure 15.5" diameter at the lip (although I'm told they're 14" rims?) by 7" wide and I'm trying to figure out HOW to pick a good drag radial to fit.
Any ideas?

Re:Tire Tech
dude!! WTF R14!? thought you had 15" rims?
205-40R16
205 = width of tread in MM
40 = sidewall in % of the tread width
16 = rim size in inches.
Honda civic (88-91) OEM tire size = 185-60R14
for a 15" rim you want 195-50R15 or 205-50R15
for 16" 205-40R16
those sizes will keep the rolling diameter as close as possible to the oem size (to keep the speedo as accurate as possible)
