Default throttle body questions

I was changing throttle bodies today on my 89 Dx b/c my TPS sensor went bad. Everythign was going well until I came across two problems:

1) How do you get off the fuel line that goes from the fuel filter to the throttle body w/o cutting it. I took off the pressure release valve on the fuel filter, but I could not figure out how to get it off.

2) How do you take the throttle cable off of the throttle body w/o messing up tension or anything.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated

1. are you talkin about the house on there? if so they tend to get corroded after a while and sticky witch makes it a pain to get off. putting some pliers on the hose where its attached and move it in cirlces to try and loosen up the hose, or use a flate head screw driver and try to pry it loose.... always works for me

2. ok you see the 2 bolts that are on the cable that hold it in place on the little bracket thats attached to the intake mani. just loosin up the one closest to the throttle body all the way out(the one i'm pointing too) and the other bolt will keep your throttle the way you want it. then you can pull it out(when the cable is off the tb) and there is gonna be a little groove in the throttle cable line where it will slide right out of that bracket...

get what i'm sayin..

Grab a brick or a family member to hold your gas pedal down, itll give you tons of slack, loosen the adjusting nut and it should be cake, needle nose pliers and pull the "button" out

Took me a bit to get mine to budge free, was pretty jammed
