i'd just fork out the few extra dollars to get new ones. i wouldnt take a chance on those. they look pretty beat up, prob a few years old. hell my mounts are 3 1/2 years old and dont look like that.

I don't think i've ever really heard of a B-series mount that you didn't have to bang a section of frame for the alternator to clear. If you look closely at a japanese EF Si-R chassis you will notice a neat little notched area for the alternator to clear. Unfortunately USDM ED chassis's don't have this notched area. I used a little 9 pound sledge on mine to make clearance. A little touch up paint and no one will notice anyway.

i thinki could have gotten away w/o making the dent. i just would have needed to put the belt on after the engnie was in

Re: are these the mounts

You probably can get away with no denting the frame...just gonna suck ass when you go to change your alternator belt cause there's not gonna be enough room to get another one on. That's the only big reason i can visually see for whacking in the frame :l
