The cage does like to vibrate and I put mine right up to the roof line with the overhead hoop and thats what vibrates. If your skilled I suggest putting ice on the roof and tack along the metal structure that the head liner mounts to. It's thin but only 4 tacks should reduce the vibration. Cage costed $650 shipped. And the chrome molly isnt worth the extra 300 get the steel.

wouldn't some of the roll bar pads fix that?

On the subject of that CRX buildup...

What did you do about the steering? I just mounted my seat in my civic and I need like 6-8" added to my steering column to get thewheel where I want it.

Sure the padding would help put alot, but that was my first cage install and I thought the closer to the chassis the better, but I have to deal with the humming until I get some ordered, but it was a drag only car I thought at the time and with solid mounts I didnt think it would matter. But it would quite it down alot in the cabin.

The only way of adding lengh to a steering shaft is to build your own. It's a huge pain in the ass but it's the only way of doing it right.

---- that, if no-one makes a longer shaft, then I'll try to use a standard shaft for a stock car and have an adaptor machined to fit the Honda U-joint on the end.

Weld on a steering shaft??? Maybe not a good idea. You can make a shaft and adapt it to a Honda for about 75 bucks. They aren't that trick.
