temp sensor on z6

Default temp sensor on z6

hey im trying to get my z6 ready to throw in my 90 civic and it says to take the bolt out of the block were i need to put it but there is not a bolt there its flat and indented into the block and i have no clue how to get it out please help if you understand what im trying to say.

im not sure what ur trying to say, but ur trying to insert the sensor in the wrong place. if your using the z6 motor you should still have one coolant sensor on the head and the other should be on the thermostat (not 100% on this one, for b series its like this) So check the thermostat housing

Yeah, the Z6 should have the thermo switch on the thermostat housing. The car will have it on the back of the block near the oil filter. The wires won't reach so you might have to rewire it. The other two sensors are in the head. One is for the ECU coolant temperature(2 wires) and the other(1 wire)is for the temperature gauge in the dash. That should be the same for both of them so you shouldn't have to mess with those.
