Ok so Ive never really paid much attention to it until tonight.

I bought was was to be an obd1 sohc non vtec zc.
My head code says though PM7 13
My tranny code is a S8G which should be the sol si, so Im confused now,
My block says simply ZC

Ive been running this motor in my eg for well over a year now. Im using the stock IM but my old d15 TB. Distributor is what came with the motor.

wow no ----. but isnt the pm7 heads obd0?? thats where im getting confused.

 

are the spark plugs up front on on the back of the valve cover

 

im 99% sure is a obd0 motor same as the a6

 

oops..i cant read... most common zc is the dohc, but there are a few sohc vtec zc's out there-which are obd1. naturally if the block is stamped zc, its a zc...but there are several different variations of the zc.

 

should be stamped pm3 on the head then...

all a6/sohc non vtec zc/dx heads are pm3-*

I bought this as a sohc non vtec zc. so is my head even a 1.6 non vtec head? I know the block is zc obviously. and I know my tranny is a del slo si. any other markings would help figure this out on the head?

 

does it matter, all the parts are the same, all the internals are the same, they are identical no matter what. what intake manifold is it, the a6(obd0) design or the z6(obd1) design. thats the only differance.
