technical clutch question
I mistakenly bought a clutch for my 89 crx si that I was told would work, but once arrived, I found out it was for 90-91 models (212mm disk vs. 200mm in mine). I was wondering if I could just get a disk that was made for mine and use the pressure plate and throwout bearing that I currently have since the only thing I can see wrong is the larger disk. BTW, the clutch I got is an Exedy stock type one. Not what I wanted as I was told it was something else but since I have it and need the clutch replaced, I don't mind using it.
If that will work, are there any recommendations for putting a better than stock disk in? Would that hold better even with a stock pp?
Thanks.

Re:technical clutch question
well for starters. anytime you have your tranny and clutch assembly off you should replace all the bearings considering they are only about 6$ total and will save u 300$ tranny labor job. 2ndly that larger disk will work but youd need the larger flywheel... as long as it 20 spline it will fit, Anyone who tries to sell u a "beefier" stock clutch is full of ----, they are worthless and arent going to hold power, So if you need a performance clutch kit, hit me up and maybe i can help you out
good luck with that clutch, pm me if you have any questions

Re:technical clutch question
What bearings are you referring to? I got a clutch kit that has the throwout bearing. If the clutch I got will work with a 90-91 flywheel, sweet, I just need a flywheel. Thanks for the help. I will probably need a better clutch setup after I can afford to turbo, but mine is bad now and I had gotten this one to get me by.
