Swap problems.. All I get is poping

Default Swap problems.. All I get is poping

As yall know I screwed up my d16y8 block. Well I put a d16z6 block on a d16y8 head. When I try and crack it. All it does is go ... pop pop pop pop. I never really turns over anyone have any ideas?

Popping out of the exhaust?
Try verifying timing. Put #1 at TDC and make sure your cam timing is right, and then double check your plug wire order.
When your ensure your cam timing is right, take off your distributor cap and check that the rotor is pointed at the right plug.

what year is the car did u havea workin vtec in it before? and did u take the oil jet out of the non vtec block? not that itll keep it from runnin but it needs to be out.. any ecu codeS?

its sounds timing related, your firing order is probably wrong, check your plugs, probably fouled.

prolly ur timing.. but if u did a si vtec swap on ur car from dx id say its the dizzy ... if it was alredy vtec then its prolly ur timing..
