Ive got an OBD0 1st gen b16a and Im throwing a code 6, I tracked it down to the wires being ripped out right at the but end of the sensor ( )
Its the large colant sensor right at the front of the head on the passenger side. The wires that im assuming are supposed to go to it are red/white and green/white
What cars/motors can I hunt at eh junkyard tomorrow for this sensor. Not many cars at this yard, so the more the marier

I think they are the same...just take your sensor, or just solder it to the wires and put your own disconnects on the wires.

Yeah i wanted to just fix this sensor, but the wires were literally ripped out right at the sensor, theres a bit of black plastic that I thought I could dig out expose some of the wire, then solder some extensions on, but that black filler is HARD

Ive got to pick up a few things for my friends Del Sol anyways, so if I spot something Id grab it

ah, I thought you meant the pug.... Like I said, I think all honda are the same, just match OBD's. Take the sensor for your best bet.

any obd0 honda will have the same sensor D/B/F/B(prelude B20)

Even the obd1 sensor's read the same. I know because I have half obd0 and half obd1 sensors on my b16a right now :P

So how come my IACV still throws a code after I swapped in that other sensor from the yard?

The colours didnt matxch on the wiring form the car I took it off form if that matters

if it bolts to your manifold and plugs right in, then it should work. maybe you got a bad one

The wiring colors don't match up all the time from obd0 and obd1 harnesses, only on a select few sensors.

But if the IACV still bolted up and was a good working one, the wiring not being the same colours wouldnt matter?
