are the koni reds pretty good strut choice

? this will be on a dd and i am a crazy driver.

dont waste your cash on them
i installed them on my friends car with those supplied purple springs are the felt exactly like stock
waste of time

The Koni reds are lame to try to adjust.If you got the money buy some Koni yellows

HP are good but also consider the KYB GR-2s, it cost less and being slightly stiffer then HP, it is 15 % stiffer AFAIK.
