Was the idle ok before you installed the VAFC?

the car is bone stock, injectors are factory, nothings ever been pulled off of this motor.

the AFC was supposedly just installed and left zero'ed out and only used as a tach. once i figure out how to use it ill make sure its all set zero'ed out.

you are like waiting on your post for replies. You must be bored. ;D

also check your radiator for coolant. If it is low or empty. It also caused surging.

Re: surging idle

well no one suggested it but I fixed it

Problem: FITV

they have a threaded cap on the inside that slowly backs itself out over time. Pulled it off, tightened it back up, and voila.

Well, for one I've never had an idle issue so Ive never needed to do this before, and also that plate faces the firewall, that woulda been a pain in the ass to do in the car from what I can tell.
