I have never heard of anything like that. I have heard of the rods being interchangable, but I wouldn't put those pistons in. I am assuming you would go to the bone yard and pull used pistons out of a Supra???? Good luck.

i believe there is a guy on honda tech that sells supra pistons(forged) with b16 rods already to fit the ZC....which im assumin would bit the z6. but 20lbs of boost.....that would scare me. you would have to look into some sleeve work and i dont know if either the rods or the pistons could handle 20psi, but i could be wrong.

:o Wow, I didn't even know this was a common thing to do. I hope it is allot cheaper than getting the right pistons and rods from the aftermarket.

you can run 20psi with better rods, but you better be sure you have the right air/fuel. the endyne supercharger is like 17psi on stock internals

excuse me, 24psi on stock internals, 17psi at 3000rpms

it is 400$ for that supra piston B series rod deal.

fact is this. they are still b series rods which mean i wouldnt go over 15psi with then plus the sleeves would prolly crack at like 17 on stocks anyway.

u can buy eagle rods for 350$ and i think thats a better investment.

definently, randoms and shortyz are right... upgrade to the other connecting rods... I bet that guy will assemble them if you sent him the rods (machine'm or whatever)...

You'll get the advantage of being able to advance your timing a little more then someone with higher compression, of course it will really balance itself out... (lower compression reduces horsepower, but you gain back some by advancing, high compression requires retarding ah you get the picture).
You'll have toyota reliability in pistons to thats a plus isn't it? :)

I was planning on getting that rod piston deal, but it's only for SOHC engines.
On the DOHC ZC the compression will drop below 8.0:1
That mod is used alot in asia. the guy is from Thailand if I'm not mistaken.
Not all supra pistons will fit it's from a 1JZE or something like that they come stock with forged pistons.
It can handle 15 psi safely.
I don't know if the guy still sells them..it was a long time ago though, before december 2002
