Default Stuttering B16

Hey all, I got a B16A in my 97 hatchback and when the car is cold it stutters like a bitch. Runs like hell and just doesnt move at all. when the car finally warms up the car runs fine. but if it cools down and the needle on the temp guage ont he cluster isnt at 1/2 way it wont run good. what could it be?

Plus i have a bad idle. its weird because if i remove my intake completly and cover up the TB w/ my hand it starts idling perfect. i have checked but i cant find any vacuum leaks of any sort. what could this be?

try this.. take your intake off. Look INSIDE the TB there are two smalls holes near the throttle plate. Cover 1 hole at a time and see if the idle changes. if that doesnt work cover both.

1 hole leads to the IACV and the other goes to the FITV.

when you said "bad" idle.. what do you mean, give more details.

ya try covering 1 of those holes at a time and see how the idle goes..

1 of those two things is bad.

the top hole is for the IACV, bottom is for the fast idle thermo valve (FITV).

if you plug the bottom hole and the idle goes normal replace the corresponding part. same for top hole.
