Default stupid fuel pressure ? and a what is this wire ?

didn't see anywhere I could check my fuel pressure 92 ls teg. Figure I could probably pull this bolt out here(the one on the outlet side of the fuel filter) and put an adaptor to a schrader valve? Anyone know what thread that little bugger is and where I could get an adaptor to go in there? or any better ideas?

second one is, what the ---- is this wire for? (it's the little guy lying on the brake fluid reseviour) Doubt it's important but it's been bugging me since I got my car back together.

I am surprised to report that all 4 cylinders had 160-180 psi compression. I about ---- myself when my nephew told me and didn't believe he was reading it right (he's only 6) but I checked them all twice.

crazy guess here tim, but do you have low brake fluid warning light?

nope, no warning that i remember and I was always checking my gages.

checked my spark again tonight and i do in fact have spark.

unplugged an injector and replaced it with an led, it blinked when cranking.

weird thing though, the led was always lit, though dimmly, and it just blinked brighter. Is this normal or did my ecu ----?

going to check my mechanical timing tomorrow and hopefully fuel pressure, ---- ran late and I didn't have much time today.
Any other ideas? It just starting running like it was on 2 cyl one day, then ran perfect 5 minutes later, then just died all together. That's why I'm assuming fuel but havn't got my fuel pressure gage hooked up yet.

uh, possibly the bad fp relay that you didnt fix iirc, for part of that issue, and theres also the other part, the ignitor.

go away unless you bring useful knowledge to the plate.

the fp relay was just a guess we had thrown out before, we never tested anything cause it ran later. I pulled a fuel line and I'm getting plenty of fuel when the key cycles, just don't know the pressure.

ignitor? I have spark why would my ignitor be bad? I got a spare so if you can give me any reason that would be bad I'll swap it out.

because it, like the fuelpump relay, is electrical contacts. honda didn't solder every bit perfect, hence the relay. as for the ignitor.. ---- wears out. nothing electrical lasts forever.

well a relay is just an on or off. fuel flows when it should so the relay is obviously getting an on. now on the other hand the pump could be weak, the regulator could be fucked so i can't say for certain fuel is not the issue, I'm jsut saying it's not the relay.

ignitor, yes i know electrical ---- wears out, but what is your bases on it being bad besides your normal following my threads and throwing out random ideas based on no logic. I was honestly asking if there are some sort of symptoms I'm overlooking because I am deffinatley getting a good spark.

don't you have a schrader on your fuel rail? you can tee a fitting between pump and rail to check rail pressure if you must, or you can check via line going to rail for full hardon fp pressure. 181k on the clock and everything getting rained on will have its toll on electricals. i went through half a dozen ignitors on my toyota before i found one that worked for more than 3 months.

Finally got a chance to take the timing cover off and check cam timing, it was WAY the ---- off. :1 Found a cap from a gallon jug of oil all chewed up down there.
