------ stumped here, help!

Re: ------ stumped here, help!
what motor is it? Cause if it's a Tec distributor it uses a hall effect which could be damaged, if you think it's the distributor make sure you check for carbon trace and cracks in the cover, and broken pieces on the rotor. If the distributor is a Hitachi unit it has an optical sensor i believe, so that could be dirty. Cam timing should be a no brainer, the two hash marks on the cam gears (gear for sohc) should line up with the guide at TDC.
If i missed some information and said something that was covered ignore it im very tired.

Re: ------ stumped here, help!
setup is in my sig
the distributor is less then 5 miles old, so i highly doubt its bad already
the cam timeing i think is close... but i dont know how far off its possible to have it... i may have it flipped or something and have valves opening on diffrent cylinders then they should...
i have the marks lined up with the head and the mark on the cover... i havent finished adjusting my valves yet as well though

Re: ------ stumped here, help!
I would get your injectors flow tested. I set my injectors for 450 back then but I didn't know if they were really 450. My car would bog like yours until I got another set of 450s. If its not timing its got to be your injectors.

Re: ------ stumped here, help!
i run whatever works better at that given time
lately i can get uber to idle better
but i can get crome to drive the car a couple blocks
only things i havent finished on the car is putting the 2.5bar map sensor in yet (still running the stock one which worked fine with the last setup) the valve adjustment, and connecting the IAT sensor (still need to lengthen the wire) but i've run without that sensor before on my old setup just fine so i havent been in too big a hurry to connect it
for anyone who doesnt remember any of my last threads here is my setup
D16Z6 motor
machine work
ported and polished, rebuilt head (approx 2K miles ago)
decked block by .025 to retain stock compression ratio
posted block
notched for rod clearance
build parts
eagle rods
vitara pistons
ACL bearings
new distributor, oil pump, water pump, timeing belt
RC550 injectors
new fuel pressure regulator (replaced old one on suspision of a failed FPR causeing the rich/lean condition, wasnt the problem)
XTD stage 4 six puck unsprung clutch
UR 8lb flywheel
Garret T3/T4 50/63 turbo with HPC coating, oil and water cooled (water passage plugged untill i can get a line for it)
tial 38MM (i think) wastegate
Custom log manifold
chipped PO6 running uberdata or crome (whichever works best at the time)
AEM Uego wideband 02
a quick run down on my problem
at idle im rich as hell, 10 and below on my wideband, and no matter what changes i make to the map it doesnt change anything
above 3K rpm im lean as hell, 15 and above on my wideband, same thing happening here, no matter what changes i make to the map it doesnt do anything
at idle im pulling 10-15 vac where i used to pull 20-25... i've gone over everything in the engine bay for vac leaks and cant find anything... so im assumeing my problem is mechanical
parts i've replaced
fuel pressure regulator
distributor (twice)
wireing harness
temp sensor in head
ecu (twice)
things i havent replaced
injectors (yet)
fuel filter
fuel pump (doubt thats the problem, i can still get upto 60psi of pressure on my gauge and am getting plenty of fuel)
if anyone has any ideas let me know because im completely ------- stumped... im going to finish the valve adjustment soon and see if that helps, if not someone gimme a direction to go

Re: ------ stumped here, help!
did you try adjusting your fuel modifiers in Uberdata? I remember my friend and I ran into a problem similar to yours a while back. He would get on the throttle hard and the car just bogs not to mention the shitty idle he had. We were stumped like you until we changed his TPS enrich above 100, i think we changed it to at least 180 or 190 to get his ---- running right. I don't know why but some people running RC injectors have to do that to get theirs running. I know my DSM 450s doesn't like it above 100 mines is set at 80. Test that out and let me know. Anyways let us know wat happens.
