!!!Stuck at 100?!?!?!
Got a 95 honda civic with intake/exhaust. and at full throttle slowwwwwwly reaches 100mph then wont go faster unless goin down a huge ass hill. Anybody got an explanation behind this? Please help. :o

ur vtec is limiting your speed sensor signal....this happens more often then people notice....the solenoid valve is just sticking open causing your vtec to stay on which makes your ECU recognize your still at WOT in vtec so it changes your fuel maps and such.....just hit your vtec solenoid with a hammer till you hear the valve close....it should sound like a cracking sound when the valve closes....don't worry if you damage the solenoid....it doesn't hold oil or anything so if it cracks there no harm

On a serious note, what gear are you trying to do this in... 3rd or 5th? Either way it won't happen. 4th is the only chance of going faster than 100 in a stock Honda. Well yeah I'm kind of half-serious half-joking.

make sure the injectors are staying on. If there clicking alot it means the ecu isnt giving a steady signal.
order another ecu for it and see if that helps |

If anybody asks now or later. Its an automatic... In D4 (gear). My engine does make a clickin noise (i think its comin from under the valve cover)

1. Sell that ---- and get a manual/real car 2. 5 speed swap 3. nitrous 4. drive off a cliff I personally suggest 4. |

Fuk 4. I got an offer number 3. I can take that route instead. 1. Manual trans swap...mandatory. 2. Convert your ecu to manual status and chip it. 3. Research for #4. 4. Boost it. Without doing #1 you can't really do #2, and without #2 you really shouldn't do #4 and so #3 becomes pointless. Otherwise have fun staying slow and gay riceboy. :-* |

dude it just sounds like the car is maxed out at 100 with a ex with sun roof anti lock and all that your car is heavy and the little z6 can get enuff power to the ground. 100 is probly just it top speed
