Default Straight cut tranny vs Stock tranny Gear ratios and ----... Discussion.

Discuss opinions on the ratios...

It already traps 128 with the stock trans and we have plenty of boost to play with (not to mention slicks)... There just no way ill be able to stay out of fifth.. Rev limiters at 8500, dont WANT to turn it up... Guess Ill just have to get used to running fifth at the track huh?

This is with 26" SLicks in the calculation and the stock 4.266 FD ratio....

Its going to be like driving a small block Camaro with 4:56s in the ------- thing... LOL... and a Rock Crusher...... Probably sound about the same too.
Freeway FTL.... But at least it will stay in one piece... HOPEFULLY.

Just for ***** and ----... 17 degree cut M22 Rock crusher:

****. The straight cut setup looks beautiful and it should last as long as you arent getting too much shaft deflection.

Where did you pick this up at? I haven't stayed up with your other thread but there is no way M Factory is done with their suff right?

Is there anyway you could run a differant final? Once you crank up the boost and are able to launch it, I bet you will be traping in the 140-145 range. At that point 5th will be at its peak. Mabey Im just talking out my ***, but gt4088 27lbs, and 700hp in a 3100lbs car I think you should run in the 140s.

I dont know about that... DOnt really want to turn it more thn 8500 8600.... No need. Would want to look at the main bearings and that entails having reid pull the bottom end of it apart (as per our agreement) which entails drivfing the POS to Eastern WA. That drive eats ****.

Ill just deal with the fact that it is what it is...
