So i bought a D16z6 from a guy who said it came out of a running car to find out that the #4 con rod bushing was spun and completely fucked up. It was in 3 pieces wedged on one side. So I need to find a new crankshaft. OEM wants $750, but hell with that I could buy a whole new motor for less. Any other sources? I'm going to put in new bushings, rods, pistons...etc and I really don't want to have to hunt for a new engine after the work i put in this one.

I would go back to the guy that sold it to you as a 'running engine' and cram the crank at least as deep as rod 3 into his ***

or post in the wtb section, you'll probably find a couple people slangin crank there

get an a6 shortblock and switch the head and what not, d16 is so ------- cheap that looking for a crank and chancing that it isnt bent from improper handling isnt worth the time. plus a6 block is strongest.

From the looks of that picture on the ebay crank, I wouldn't buy that ----. Laying flat, tools scattered all on it and ----.
