HOW IS YOUR IGNITION: PLUGS, CAP, ROTOR, ETC?????

blow out is simply something blowing out the spark, ethier fuel or something. To much exposed increasing resistence or whatever. Doen't hurt, but if it only at high rpms it might be it.

if you look at the cam gear there's 3 notched on it. the two side ones and another beneath the left side one. that notch need to be lined up with the mark on the plastic cover behind the cam gear. theres a pointer that it lines up to on the cover at about the 7 o clock position. Go adjust it to that. take out the dizzy, face the rotor to the number 1 cap terminal and put it back in.

He should only have to worry about spark blow-out if he's boosted...usually around the 8psi mark it tends to "blow-out" the flame. I'm willing to bet it's because you're trying to rev your motor up to normal vtec area...above the 4500 rpm range...and the ecu might think it's in vtec when it's actually not, therefore adjusting timing and fuel towards the hi-cam curve. Of course that's if the p06 is setup for running vtec with the sensors turned off.

The plugs could have been gap inproperaly or there shitty plugs.

I'm guessing the p06 isn't setup for vtec, cause he said he has a chipped p28.

im running n/a. i just put in the po6 to get the car running after the z6 and obd1 swap. i will double check cam timing and let you guys know how it turns out. if info i got from anyone ends up being answer ill paypal 5. keep the opinions rolling though. Thanks

and the p06 isnt setup for vtec. so the car would be running on low cam all the time. not sure if that could cause spuddering though.

No that wouldn't cause spuddering. it'll run fine on the low cam. You have something wrong with the way your checking your timing and possibly mechanical timing but I doubt that if you had mech timing off you'd have bent valves.

But I'll forget about timing for a second. the spuddering is a cylinder/cylinders not firing, Just check regular maintenance things like distributor cap rotor button and plug wires.

If the car will spudder by reving the motor while your not moving. Just make it do it then start pulling plug wires one at a time until you find the one that doesn't make a change in how the car sounds. then you'll know the cylinder with the problem.

If it only does it while driving make it do it turn off the key coast into a parking lot or something and pull your plugs find the one thats differant then check everything going to that cylinder plug, plugwire. crud in the plug to the distributer.

and just maybe the injector clogged to that cylinder.

Im sure your have your timing wrong though. So try looking at that some more. maybe even reburn your bin and see if that fixes it. could be a funky burn.

yeah definately check the ignition stuff first, esp. plug gap. I had a bad IAT wire once and it totally fucked up my mixture up top and caused sputtering because it was putting out the flame so maybe because you're not using the right ecu your fuel mixture is off combined with a shitty plug gap. Are you sure you have your plug wires in the right holes if you need to move the dizz so far to get it in time?

the ecu isnt chipped. its not like horrible sputtering. motor actually runs pretty good even tho its in low cam all the time. it just sounds as if the car is held back. Like the motor needs to clear its throat. hah. like when i stay on the gas it doesnt sound too bad but when i am rolling in 4th than give it gas it kind of sputters/ bogs. ---- sucks. i wanna boost this nignog but i need to fix this problem first.

Check the timing on the p06 burn...sounds like the issue I was having with BRE and my modified n/a basemap.
