sohc v.s. dohc

sohc v.s. dohc
This is my debate right now.
Either mildly build my f22a (sohc, 8.1:1 c/r, 135hp, non-vtec) for boost or buy a jdm f22b (dohc, 9.1:1 c/r, 160hp, non-vtec)and boost that.
Will the dohc make that much of a difference? Should I throw out the sohc and boost a stock dohc?
Im lost out here guys any opinions or guidance would be great, thanks!

I would think that right off the bat the 25 extra hp wouldn't weigh out against the extra weight of the dohc, but you have to look at long term potential, and since I think the accord is a family car, I have no clue. Ha Ha.

Re:sohc v.s. dohc
f22a (sohc, 8.1:1 c/r, 135hp, non-vtec)
F22A1 = SOHC 8.8:1 c/r 125 hp non vtec
F22A4 = SOHC 8.8:1 c/r 130 hp non vtec
F22A6 = SOHC 8.8:1 c/r 135 hp non vtec
not 8.1:1 c/r
and i'm almost 100% positive that the jdm f22b is SOHC 160hp, i was going to buy one for 500 bucks..
oh and i'm 95% sure that ALL F22B's are VTEC SOHC

Re:sohc v.s. dohc
get the DOHC if you want to build for serious power. there is more tuning ability/potential in the DOHC. btw...im almost positive that any F series motor is going to be SOHC...you might be thinking of the h23, which is a 160hp DOHC non-vtec...
