I think someone already said get a manual. thats the best way man. take your time, dont rush ----. use gasket sealer on everything, do all that little ----. i would use a manual if it were myself.

Try on autozone.com in their repair guides section. Might have some stuff to help you out.

online manuals suck. they are good for a quick reference, but spend the $15 and get yourself a hard copy. its just the way to do it.

Putting the oil/water pumps and ---- like that isn't going to be your problem. Installing rings, and dropping the pistons in the bore, installing the bearings correctly and ---- like that are going to be where you run into problems.

You need a manual and an extra set of hands that has done stuff like this before. Get those two things and you won't have to worry about if you screwed something up or not.

I know how to do bearings and rings (maybe not set ring gaps) because Ive rebuilt a chevy 350 before. But all this other ---- is what I dont wanna mess up, rear main seals, thrust washers and setting the timing when dropping the motor onto the head

BTW- I blew my motor today, absolutely knuckled the fucker on the way to work, smoke everywhere, huge knock from drivebelt side of block, thats what you get for driving with less than 4.5psi of oil pressure

Oh well, Im buying a co-workers 91 ranger with quite a bit of new maintanance sometime this week for $1000 canadian, will be nice to have a trcuk/beater anyways

keep bumpin cause you need helms plain and simple. If this is your first real build which it sounds like expect everything to go wrong its how it is. It took me a long time lots of blood and sweat to be able to do things right the first time
