Re: skunk 2 stage 1 vs skunk 2 stage 2
will my stock cam gears fit on them? or should i buy cam gears to tune them?
also is there a way to tell that it is a skunk2? i'm looking at one that has 12k miles.( so says the guy on egay) is that to many miles?

the old casting skunks went flat so if they are who knows what batch they were run in so i wouldnt chance it. You will need gears stock timing on those cams will not gain you any power. b16s also dont like alot of cam so sg1 would be your best choice or ctrs

boost would be your best choice, spend $600 on cams that will get you maybe 10 extra whp, or save a little more and spend $1200 on an hmt style turbo set up that will get you potentially 100+ extra whp....think about it..... oh and if your already boosted spend it on internals instead of cams....and if your already boosted and have internals than ---- you.....

not boosted.. going to be tho.. i just want to have a little fun with the head. i was thinking of port and polishing one with cams n ----. i could start peacing a turbo kit 2geather.but i'm still reading everything and learning them slowly. i was thinking itr cams or ctr but for the same price i can get cams that are a little better in porformence (sg1). but what you said boosted_b16 for the price of cams i could get a nice t3/to4 turbo :/
