I'm looking into buying a single cam jdm ZC, I've seen them on e-bay, they claim to have 140hp, has anyone used them before or know anyone who has? I know that I should just swap in a DOHC but eveyone and their mom has one, I wanted somthing different. I currently have a d16z6 and plan to turbo

 

i had a jdm single cam zc....nothing special. there exactly like the d16a6. i would just do the dohc zc swap.

the thing is I want to keep it single cam, should I just do a build-up;sleeve,pistons,rods etc..my goal is over 300hp,boosted single cam

 

Keep your Z6 and build it up.. 4000 dollars later you might hit that 300whp goal

 

I could do it for half that price,I already have all the turbo ---- hust need to get it sleeved and internals,$2,000

 

What kind of turbo setup do you have?

 

Single cam zc has a slightly more aggresive cam thats the only difference like many other jdm d series motors like the dohc zc and the jdm d15b vtec.
