Default Sick ls ef

Well the civic isnt running so hot Im thinkin it definetly needs some new rings. Its a b18a in a 90 dx hatch has 70mm tb and ported manifold and a pulley with cold air and straight exhaust no cat no muffler yeah dont give me ---- about that .I know the afr isnt right i need to pick up a afc.I also did a compression test and it was 190 185 135 155 in that general area.

Fouls plugs after 1 good drive the 3rd cylinder has oil on the plug when i pull it.
burns oil like no other
hesitates on wot bad but if im smooth with its great
clear liquid in exhaust is neither gas nor coolant.

sound right to youll?

to pay some1 to rebuild your motor you're looking at 1000-2000. possibly more. It's not all that hard. Maybe you should just get a spare block and start to rebuild that so that you're not in a rush.

maybe you should do it on a spare block then, unless you have a back up car. It's not so much the parts that are expesive as it is the time it takes to do it properly.

i did my ZC rebuild by just readin the haynes manual. its not hard at all . you just need all the tools like a piston ring compressor and a 17 mm 12point socket for the flywheel bolts. oh and dont forget to pick up a breaker bar those things help. take the whole bloack apart and remember to label your pArts just incase. also go to a reputable machine shop, one who doesnt mind you ask questions. Piston rings shouldnt be more than 50 bucks and having your block honed and cleaned ( along with the crank) will probably run you like 50-100 bucks. and also get some new bearings if needed. thats basically all you need to do. as far as the head, have it inspected for warpage on the bottom and top! if the head is good then just resurface it and slap an a OEM headgasket.Pick up some gaskets for the main and rear main crank seals and a timing belt from honda and your set.

good luck!

Yeah i have everything but the spring compressor from when i dropped it in the car the only things not touched was the internals and the starter everything else is brand new and has maybe 1000 miles on it now. Im in the process of looking for a machine shop around orlando just moved here so dont know if anybody around here is good.
