coolent sensor to turn your radiator fan on. if its a 88-91. doesnt matter which one goes on bottom.

hondas have the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block above the oil filter, and the coolant sensor on the side under the distributor. |

He's either dealing with an 85-91 Civic Si/CRX Si/Integra. The largish two prong sensor that takes the two bullet connectors inder the rubber boot is the fan thermo switch. This is shrunk to a small 2 pin plug located on the thermostat housing for OBD1+ vehicles.
