Default rod strech???

ok anybody know what the stock ls rods will start to strech at. ofcourse using arp rod bolts for hardware. I am just curious I was thinking probably around 9k? post up if you have had problems with this. I have had a few mishaps and hit like 9500 twice and I was wondering if I am gonna run into rod strech with these or not. hope not

hahah u cant stretch rods
u can bend them but stretching them would be almost impossible
what stretches is the rod BOLTS
when a rod bolt stretches thats when ---- flies

indeed, the rods arnt going to stretch. The bolts may, but why are you spinning a stock bottom end (ls/vtec) that high anyways? You probably dont even make power over 8 grand anways (depending on cams).. I ran stock rod bolts in all my ls/vtec crvtec setups without any problems. I spun them to 8300 daily.

9500 ever heard of a rev limiter?

ya I know she doen't make power up that high but hitting 1st gear at 80mph does tend to rev past 9k lol and a basemap from a tunner around here with a high rev limiter does the samething. I did have pistons hit my head on my last blow ls/vtec spun one rod bearing and that one ofcourse hit the head but why whould the rest of them hit I didn't think rod bolts could stretch that much? not a problem with rod bolts now with the arps saved me a few times
