Has anyone ever tried successfully replacing the head bolts one at a time without removing the head?

more then likely to try and save $40 on a HG and then spend $100 on a HG and resurfaceing later when it blows

hehe. somtimes 5th gear is not enough =))) sometimes clutch start slipping =))
