Oh i see.You could try calling a mobile service truck the usually have one at most tire shops to come fix big truck tires etc on site or a private heavy duty mechanic that service diesels and equipment on site as they have trucks equiped with air,3/4 impacts etc.Good luck I know how much those crank pulleys suck to get off.

I own one of those(Moroso $70), and found that lot of cars don't have crank pulleys that incorporated that feature. 92+ civics are supposed to, but I've found some that don't. Personally, I hate the crank pully bolts on these cars. I've had more issues breaking them loose than any other bolt. And I own a big MAC impact wrench, and it still doesn't work. I've seen in certain Honda Manuals a tool that bolts on where the flywheel cover does that holds the flywheel by the teeth, that woud be the easiest, and once I find a source for them, I'll post up.

The 5th gear thing can work, but typically the spongieness of the drivetrain won't work so well. Plus, if you clutch is no good, it won't work at all.

Careful about the torch thing too, there are some non metal parts around that won't appreciate the heat very much.
Good luck

I broke down and bought the tool for the 92 and up, works real nice. But i still feel for those suckers who have the older style pulley with just holes in them. I had made a tool for those...took 2 bolts and bolted them through a torque rod (from the front suspension). Usually you can get an angle that both bolts will go into 2 of the holes on the pulley, but the only downfall i've found is usually i end up breaking chunks out of the pulley when i put any serious force to it. Oh, and i hope that your timing belt didn't snap while you were driving the car or the engine was running, otherwise consider it a head swap or at the least replacing all the valves. Honda motors are interference motors, and i've had first hand experience on how nice a piston likes to smash those valves when the belts break

taking a chance with the tranny case or not... the only tried and true method we've found is to have a buddy hold a Log Roller into the flywheel teeth while you crank it... we've tried the 5th gear brake stand thing before and the 6-puck clutch alwayse slips under that sort of torque for some reason... also if it has never been take off before GOOD LUCK! Honda usually puts them on with i believe 500ft/lb impacts with a Dab of 'Honda Lock' on the threads.... welcome to one of the few 'Bitch Bolts' on your average Honda... Hope it helps
