i have je rings and to tell you the truth. pulling the rings off the pistons and putting them back on will streatch the ring. so do two things measure the gap twice and or buy new rings there not expensive

lol, way to dig this up...the motor is together and has about 900 miles on it now i think...i ended up using a set of rings i had that i gapped wrong for my old motor, but worked for the new motor (fresh, stock bore)...but i lost one of the second rings, and i ended up using one from the used set, no problem

that's not what I call cheap. I consider a $10 pair of shoes cheap (walmart, purchased today by me).

nice buy...if you're real cheap, when they wear out, just put a new pair on in the store and walk out...thats what a friend of mine does

Very true...I buy $15 pnats and $9 shirts so i have the money for $400 pistons and $75 dollar rings. And $75 is a small price to pay when the block, pistons, and crank were about $2000.
